  2. This is the distribution disk for wIconify version 3.8
  3.  
  4. It contains a number of ZOO files (in order to make the distribution fit on
  5. one disk), plus a directory that contains the ZOO program itself, so you
  6. should not have trouble extracting the files.
  7.  
  8. [Ed Note:  Because it saved over 300 blocks on the disk, and allowed me
  9.  to get my normal distribution files and other stuff on the disk, I have
  10.  repacked the zoo archives as lzh archives, using lharc (supplied in the
  11.  :c directory of this disk).  I was careful to ensure that the repacking
  12.  preserved all files by extracting trees from both the original zoo
  13.  and repacked lzh archives, and comparing all their files.  For the
  14.  remainder of this file, I've changed all zoo references to lzh

  17. First create a directory named 'wIconify' and extract the archives into it.
  18. Each program has an associated documenation file that explains how to set it
  19. up and use it.  See these files for further instructions.

  21. The archives are as follows:

  23.     wIconify.lzh            The main wIconify programs and documentation.
  24.                             Extract these files into a directory named wIconify.
  25.  
  26.     wIconify-Source.lzh     The source code for the wIconify program.
  27.                             Extract this into the wIconify directory as well.
  28.  
  29.     wUtilities.lzh          A number of useful companion utilities.
  30.                             Source code and documentation are included.
  31.                             Extract this into a directory named wUtilities
  32.                             (it can be a sub-directory of wIconify).
  33.  
  34.     wIconSetter.lzh         The wIconSetter utility, plus a number of
  35.                             companion utilities for creating icons.
  36.                             Extract this into a directory called wIconSetter
  37.                             (it can be a sub-directory of wIconify).

  39.     wIconCalls.lzh          The code and documentation necessary to use
  40.                             the wIconify Programmer's Interface (wIconCalls.o)
  41.                             plus example code (see also the wUtilities for
  42.                             more examples).
  43.                             Extract this into a directory called wExamples
  44.                             (it can be a sub-directory of wIconify).
  45.  
  46.     wKeys.lzh               An updated version of the vernerable wKeys
  47.                             program that takes advantage of the wIconify
  48.                             user's interface.  wKeys is a hot-key program
  49.                             for manipulating windows and screens.
  50.                             Extract this into a directory called wKeys.
  51.  
  52.     Fonts.lzh               A set of screen fonts that are smaller than
  53.                             the standard Topaz font.  These can be used
  54.                             for CLIs that are opened on LoRes screens, for
  55.                             example, in order to allow more characters per
  56.                             line or more lines per screen.
  57.                             Extract these into the FONTS: directory.

  60. wIconify and its related companion utilities are free-of-charge.  You may
  61. re-distribute them provided that the source code, the documentation, and the
  62. copyright notices also are distributed with it, and provided that you charge
  63. no more than a nominal service charge.
